The most important thing, of course, is the result that I will see only in a few months and therefore, how everything was in the clinic is not particularly important.I had a hair transplant here a couple of weeks ago. Organizationally, everything was excellent, transfers, hotel, translator, etc.Cons: the vaunted doctor Acar will give you 5 minutes of his time and you won’t see him again. Therefore, it does not matter how many thousands of years of experience he has. The operation is carried out by young assistants who do not give the impression of professionals (although, of course, they may be). They work in a relaxed manner and do not take the operation seriously enough. In general, not ideal, but it will do. I’ll definitely add more in half a year.
Good morning,I went in December 2019 with my brother-in-law, already I will not talk about the exorbitant price that I paid, it is not Mr. Acar who does the work but assistants who are changed every year as well as the person who is supposed to follow you, there are 2 to have received a transplant which is a disaster while the recommendations and the care recommended after operation were followed to the letter, when they arrived the people went to the chain, left me to wait in a corridor almost 1 hour because my frontal line did not suit me.After the years that passed their 10 year guarantees these wind, the most regrettable experience of my life, I am not advertising for anyone but with hindsight past your path, recently I intend to go to Estetiv still in Istanbul but with trusted people that I have been following for years now and believe me they are in a money slaughterhouse at cosmedica, if you want proof I will blur my face but I will show you the result as well as the guarantee documents.
Rating for my transplant with 5400 grafts 4.5 months ago (April 1st):Per:-So far a great result: the hair has grown back well everywhere and the hairline looks natural-WhatsApp advice in German and super fast answers and nice contact-Dr. Acar speaks German-The operation went well and I wasn't in much pain. The girls who performed my surgery were super nice too!-I was promised that the price offer was final and that there would be no more additional charges and they kept to that!-The number of grafts was also adhered to - with 5400 I have almost reached the maximum of 5500 in my offer-Airport transfer was pleasant, but there was a 20 minute wait on the outward journey-Clinic transfers: everyone arrives on time; Return journey always waits 5-20 minutes-I was able to pay half in cash and half by card without any problem-Payment in euros-Communication in the clinic was usually problem-free and all the employees were very nice. The only thing I would have liked was a concrete plan for the dayCons:-On the first day you couldn't use the breakfast in the hotel because it started at 6:30, and the breakfast in the clinic was really underwhelming-From the look of the website and advertising and the name of the clinic, if you don't do more research, you could think that the operation was carried out by Dr. Acar is carried out. In my case this would have cost 2110 euros EXTRA. The operation is carried out by medical professionals, but if you're unlucky you can probably get people with less experience (although they are certainly well trained). My staff had 4 and 5 years of experience. In addition, my offer explicitly stated “Dr. Acar will supervise your operation.” But this was definitely NOT the case. Before the operation I had 10 minutes of "hairline design and personal advice from Dr. Acar", unfortunately I never saw the doctor again during and after the operation.-Pickup for the next day was usually decided very spontaneously - the evening before - or the time was spontaneously changed-The hair used on my receding hairline looks slightly unnatural as it is quite bushy compared to the sides. However, the result is not yet final and is only noticeable when you look closely.Now to my only “big” point of criticism:-I also had hair removed from my beard. But this was not discussed beforehand. Since I often remove leftover hair with tweezers after shaving, this would have been very important to discuss beforehand.From 2 weeks after the operation I also had major problems with the skin on my neck: some larger pimples formed, it looked like inflammation or ingrown hairs, I don't know exactly what it was/is. To this day (4.5 months after the operation) I can't shave my beard hair wet and there are still 3 large "pimples" on my neck and I really hope they don't develop into scars. In any case, I was told at the time that they would go back after a few weeks, which hasn't happened yet.Hotel (Limbak Eurasia):Room is good (but negative to note: rattling ventilation at night - although switched off, street and dog noise), staff friendly. Breakfast is good, very large selection. Unfortunately you have to pay extra for cappuccino and the water tastes like chlorine. One more night cost me 90 euros. The receptionist told me it was cheaper for Cosmedica customers (normally it was 150 euros). Later I found the hotel room on all websites for around 87 euros...
The operation it self was quiet pleasant, staff is very nice and they look after you during the clinic visits.That being said, there was a bit of miscommunication during the hotel check in and transportation. It can be quiet frustrating to make sure you have a ride after the surgery or for a follow up appointment for the next few days.I would recommend to really make sure your hotel is confirmed and there aren’t any last minute changes, and have one person as a contact from the clinic directly to resolve any issues.Update: After two hair transplants, one in 2021 and one in 2023, I am somewhat satisfied with the growth of the hair but there is a little sloppiness in some areas. Some spots have been over harvesting which leaves empty patches in your doner area and some areas have been over populated with the new transplant.I have also been left two scars. One in the back of my head and one in my neck where hair was extracted for the second hair transplant. They haven’t had a solid answer as to what really causes them that. I would suggest to really go prepared in the 15 min consultation with the Dr. The visible line is where they stop the extraction.
